Welcome to the Privacy Policy for Browsair ("Browsair", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, how we use it, and the measures we take to safeguard it.

By using Browsair, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

We collect the following personal information when users register for Browsair services:

  • Name
  • Email Address

This information is used to manage user accounts and sync user settings across devices.

Stored Data

In addition to personal information, we also store:

  • Training data for custom bots in our database.
  • Conversation history stored using Chrome storage (subject to change in the future).

Browser Permission-Based Data Access

  • Tabs & Active Tab: To identify which tab is active for interaction and features like sending content to a new tab.
  • Clipboard Access (Read/Write): Browsair includes a clipboard tool that allows users to save and paste multiple text snippets. Clipboard data is only accessed when the user explicitly interacts with the copy/paste functionality. It is never stored or transmitted externally.
  • Geolocation: To deliver location-based services such as local weather updates.
  • Bookmarks & Downloads: To allow users to create folders, manage bookmarks, and control downloads (pause, resume, delete). This data is used solely for real-time extension functionality and is not stored or transmitted unless explicitly tied to a user action (e.g., saving data to cloud bots).

Google Sign-In

When signing in via Google, we only access your email address and name for authentication and account management. No other personal or Google account data is accessed or stored.

Use of Google Workspace Data

We do not use any data obtained from Google APIs, including Gmail, to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models. All access is limited to the minimum required for providing user-initiated features within the Browsair extension.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect or store passwords (passwords are securely hashed in our database).
  • We do not collect payment information.
  • We do not track or store your browsing history.
  • At this time, Browsair does not collect automatic usage reports (subject to change).

  • Provide and improve Browsair’s services.
  • Store and manage training data for custom chatbots.
  • Maintain conversation history (subject to change if storage methods are updated).
  • Send service-related communications and marketing emails (users can opt out of marketing emails at any time).

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Data Persistence Disclaimer:
Browsair does not persist or transmit data beyond what is necessary for core features, and only when explicitly initiated by the user.

3. Third-Party Services

Browsair integrates with third-party services such as OpenAI, AWS, and other APIs. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of any third-party services they interact with.

When you interact with AI features, your input text and training data are transmitted securely to third-party services such as OpenAI and OCR Space solely for processing responses or extracting data. We do not store or reuse AI responses unless used in a training context or requested by the user.

4. Data Security & Retention

  • User data is stored on secure, encrypted databases hosted via AWS and MongoDB Atlas.
  • Data is retained only as long as necessary for providing our services.
  • Although we take industry-standard security measures, no system is 100% secure. We advise users to share data responsibly and exercise caution when storing sensitive information.

Children’s Privacy:
Browsair is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal data from a child under 13, we will delete such information as soon as possible.

5. User Rights & Data Deletion

Users have the right to:

  • Request data removal or account deletion by contacting us at support@browsair.me.
  • Opt out of marketing emails while still receiving essential service-related communications.

6. Policy Updates & Legal Compliance
